Karen outdid herself with the challenge this week at Lasting Memories. She asked us to create a summer themed mini album. You have got to see the awesome minis the design team came up with.
And with such a big challenge, there is a prize. As a matter of fact, there are several prizes. There will be a prize on the main, LM blog for someone who visits and comments on the design team blogs and creates a project to share with us. In addition to the main prize, several of the design team members are offering some blog candy. Make sure to check each blog out to see what prizes are being offered.
I am one of the blogs that will be offering blog candy. I am offering the Cricut Lite cartridge Celebrate with Flourish. I love this cartridge and was able to get a 2nd one to give away. To be eligible for my blog candy, please leave a comment on this post and make sure that you are a follower. I will choose a winner with a number randomizer.
Karen included some links to some great tutorials to get everyone going. I watched a ton of other You Tube videos and found this one that inspired me to create my mini album. I didn't follow the directions exactly, but I will go back and make another one as was created in the video.
So this was the start of my mini. You can make it as large or small as you would like.
When I created my mini, I had to decide what I wanted to use it for, so I could pick the right paper. I decided on my trip to South Carolina last year to visit my sister and nephews. I have a lot of the album done, but have some more areas to complete. Here is what the final product from the front.
And here is inside the the cover and 1st page. At the end of each page, I create tags that slide in and out. This allows extra space for journaling or more photos.
And the next pages....
There is so much space to use. And if the album is made as it was in the video, there is even more space. I used Echo Park's Splash collection for the entire album. It was perfect for this little album. This was so fun to create. I will surely be making another one. I hope you will give a mini a try.
