Pure Joy

It's been very busy here lately.  Not much time to create.  I have been keeping up with the 52 Week Challenge at Scrappin'-n-Chattin'.  This is Week 39.   I'm so glad that I have been able to keep up with this challenge.

For my page this week, I wanted to use some photos of the dogs playing frisbee recently.    The pictures contain all the dogs, but it's Willie that I really wanted to capture.  He doesn't catch the frisbee and he rarely even brings it back.  But he loves to run after it and "help" Harley carry it back.  These photos show how happy and excited Willie gets to chase the frisbee.

As a starting point for the layout, I wanted to use this month's sketch at SnC that Theresa Neubaum created.  I love the sketches she creates each month and really try to use each one.

I used some of my Summer Fresh collection by Simple Stories that I won at SnC in July.  I love this line and have to get some more.

I followed a couple other challenges for this page as well:

Lasting Memories - Ribbons, Lace and Pink
Twine - Tied on the center button
Arrows - One on each photo
Circles - The partial circle background and the buttons
         Bird - In the title
Red - Red lace, red flowers on the paper, red strips on the paper

Thanks for looking.  More dog events this weekend, one with a photographer.  Hopefully I will get some great agility photos to scrap.

I Ate Daddy's Hat

Wow....  After creating a Christmas card everyday for 30 days last month, I needed a break.  I haven't made a blog post since August 30th.  That's enough of a break.

Tonight I created my layout for the 52 Week Challenge at Scrappin'-n-Chattin'.  Our monthly challenges this month are to enter challenges at other sites.  That's pretty easy.  I usually try to get double duty with my pages.  The most popular sketch being used by members of the group right now is the September Authentique sketch.  It's awesome, and so versatile.

When I saw this sketch, I knew I wanted to use a photo of Tessa that I took after she chewed up Stew's hat.  Stew's not very good at not leaving things around.  And Tessa takes full advantage of it.  2 hats, 2 pair of glasses, a wallet.....  I learned early.  She chewed on the heel of my sneakers, so the closet door stays closed.

I used Authentique's Gathering collection to create my page.  It felt really good to create this page.  I may do another one this week...  Thanks for looking.
