Man, Karen can really pick some great challenges - ones that are really challenging. This week's challenge at Lasting Memories is It's All About You. I have avoided the camera for as long as I can remember. I have even gone so far as to tear up any photos that were taken of me. In the last couple of years though, I have discovered that it may not be such a bad thing to preserve my memories, or memories of myself for my children.
Now, allowing photos and creating a page about myself are 2 different things. The first page I created was with photos of me when I was almost 3. But I decided that's not what Karen intended, so I had to rethink. Stew had taken a few photos of me last year, that I am not over fond of, but I saved them. So I picked one of them and created a page.
For this page I needed some inspiration. I chose the current sketch from the Scrappiest.
I usually try to keep very close to the sketch, but this time I only used 1 photo. I used the extra space for more journaling.
I hope you will follow along this week and CHALLENGE yourself to create a page about you.

Great job! I love the clean and simple look!
That would be me again!, with the deleted comment. The word verification came out in my comment.
You did a great job with the LO and sketch! Don't tear up anymore photos of yourself, you need them for future on-lookers! Although you might not be too terribly fond of your pics, SOMEONE WILL!
Love this layout Sue and I especially love that picture of you. I sincerely hope you include yourself more often in your scrapping. You are beautiful.
Oh, I am in the same boat as you...I hardly have any pictures of myself and the ones I do have I hate most of them. Your picture is wonderful though. I love how you journaled in your own handwriting, I need to do more of that also.
That white flowers is stunning. Did you make it yourself or store bought? I love it. Great job on the layout.
I love the clean format of your l/o--and your side journaling, is wonderful!
Sue, I think this is fantastic. It is hard to do those "About Me" pages. I'm always behind the camera as well. I do try and allow for a couple pics and then I can at least say "Hey! I WAS there!" Plus, I figure, down the road, my kid's would wonder where the heck I was!! Love your LO this week and I think you totally rocked the challenge!
Delightfully simple layout. Thank you for joining us on The Scrappiest challenge.
Great layout! At one time I really wanted to do an all about me book as I find that my scrapbboks never really have much of me in them. I feel the same way as you about always being behind the camera except I like being in front of it lol
Great take on Liz's sketch! I really like how you used the vintage bingo chips. Wonderful to document things about yourself and a photo too!! Your children will so appreciate this in years to come. No more ripping up photos of yourself!! ;) You are wonderful!!!! :):):):)
HI Sue! I love the colors you chose for this! Clean and simple! Maybe all of us DT's need to get together one of these days so we can take MORE pictures of eachother since we are always behind the camera... and then you will have another reason to scrap yourself! Along with your new friends!! :-) You have a wonderful smile!! And Remember... when our albums are passed down from generation to generation... they have to know WHO did all of the beautiful work!! Happy to be creating with you!~
Beauitiful take to the sketch! I love "me" pages.
Thanks for joining us at The Scrappiest!
