24 Hour Challenge
At Scrappin-n-Chattin we have a challenge once a month called the 24 Hour Challenge. Each person chooses 3 paper collections that they have and want to work with. The hostess, April, chooses 3 sketches. April then selects which player will make the selections for another player. On Friday evening she announces which collection and sketch each person is to use and we have until 9pm on Saturday to create a layout. It is so much fun. I so look forward to it every month.
This month my selections were the Sophie collection from Bo Bunny and Sketch #1 which was a sketch from Got Sketch, #74.
And this is the page I created. These are photos of my granddaughter the day her sister was born. She was so excited to become a big sister. After spending some time at the hospital with the baby and everyone, we brought her home with us so Mom and Dad could have some peace. Morgan loves to pose for photos.
Thanks for looking.

Every Day Card Challenge
At Scrappin-n-Chattin we are currently running a challenge to create a card every day. And for this month, they are to be Christmas cards. How fun to be creating holiday cards during the summer. There were 2 options - creating 30 cards, or 15. I chose to try to do 15. So far I am up to 4. It's quite fun and very challenging for me. It will be so nice to have a stash of holiday cards all ready for addressing in December.
My day 4 card also qualifies for our Card Challenge #1 this month at SnC. The challenge was to use a transparency. I used one I had from the Eskimo Kisses collection from Basic Grey. It's such a wonderful collection. The colors are awesome and non-traditional. I really like how it turned out.

I am also going to enter this card into a contest at The Paper Variety. Abby and Suzanne will chose a random winner to receive the Imaginisce Christmas Cottage 6 x 6 paper pad, greetings rub-ons and holly stamp. So much fun.
Thanks for looking.

Welcome to my blog, The Scrappings of Sue. I hope you are having fun on our blog hop today. If you reached my blog from Theresa's blog, you are in the right place!! If not, you will want to start here, at Abby's blog. You will want to hop in the order outlined in Abby's blog. You will be collecting a secret word from each blog. You can read all the details about this from Abby. Be sure to check out our Yahoo! Group, Scrappin-n-Chattin. We are a great group of talented friends. You will find so much support and inspiration here.
I have so fallen in love with border punches. I have collected quite a number over the past year and try to use them whenever I can. I get very excited when I see a sketch or challenge to use border punches.
Next, line up one of the corners with the pattern just to the right or left of the punch part of the punch. I always go to the right. Line up the pattern further down on the punch after you make the first punch.
Continue around the page.
And here is the final product.
I am doing a giveaway. How would you like to win a Punch Around the Page of your own? All you have to do is leave a comment on this post and become a follower of my blog. I will do random drawing on Monday morning. The winner will receive this Martha Stewart Deco Fan Punch Around the Page Punch.
So now I have my secret word for you - friendly .
Thanks for visiting. I hope you enjoyed your time at my blog. Now, continue your journey on our blog hop and visit Laura.

I have also fallen in love with combining the use of the corner punches in conjuction with a border punch to create an edge all the way around the page. To make the sizing work, you have to have the paper cut to a specified size. These are the dimensions that are included inside the package:
3.25 inches / 8.25 cm
5 inches / 12.7 cm
6.75 inches / 17.15 cm
8.5 inches / 21.59 cm
10.25 inches / 26.04 cm
12 inches / 30.48 cm
Today I creating a page based on a sketch that I found on Julie Bonner's blog. Here is the sketch:
Although this sketch did not use a border punch, I used one on one of the paper elements. Here is what I used:
My paper is cut into a 10.25" square. This Punch Around the Page set is called Scallop 3 Dot. To begin, punch each corner.

Something for Everyone
It was great to get scrapping today. I started to think about this layout yesterday at work. For SnC, one of the challenges this month is to create a layout with a list. I was thinking about Willie and how amazing he has turned out to be and it hit me that words about him would make a perfect list.
I really wanted to do a page for Papercraft Star this week as well, but was really not sure that I could get it done. While I was running errands this morning, I decided to try to combine the SnC challenge and this week's Papercraft Star challenge on the same layout. PCS challenge is to include buttons, bows and bling on a layout. I did it. Here is the layout.....
The bling is at the bottom of the photo mat, on each side of the date. And I tied bows on the 3 buttons. Thanks for looking.
