Christmas Jammies

I decided that I would fill a post bound album with Christmas layouts this year.  I have never had enough photos to fill an album, and the pages are just in the family album.  But I am determined to create enough layouts to fill an album.  It will help that we are celebrating Christmas twice this year.  My oldest son was not able to be here on Christmas day and we will be getting together next weekend for Christmas again.

My youngest son posted a photo on Facebook of him wearing his new jammies on Christmas.  They are yellow ducky footy pajamas.  What a clown.  Definitely a layout worthy event.

I hopped along with the Ring in the New Year blog hop at My Scraps and More.  There is an awesome sketch on their main page, and the design team created wonderful pages using this sketch.  So much inspiration, and I thought the sketch would work well for the photo of David's jammies.

And here is my page...

I am starting my 4th year participating in the 52 Week Layout Challenge at Scrappin'-n-Chattin'.  I am going to use this page for entry into for this week.

I will also be entering the current challenge at Allsorts Challenge Blog.   Their challenge is "Free and Easy".

Christmas Card Challenge - Day 18

Wow....  It's August 18th.  The 18th day of the Christmas card challenge.  The prompt today at Scrappin'-n-Chattin' was Sweets.  I'm sure I have several items that would have qualified for this challenge, but I used a border that I have had for a very long time.

I used a sketch for my card tonight.  I used the new sketch at The Sweet Stop.  There was also and extra challenge with the sketch - to use Die Cuts or Punches.

The Christmas cookie border and sentiment tag are actually cardstock die cuts.  But I also use used a border punch on the red and white cardstock I matted the border strip with.

I am also entering my card into the challenge at Allsorts.  The challenge is called Heavy Metal and it's to include metal on your project.  I used a silver, metal brad to secure the sentiment tag to the card.

Thanks for looking...

Christmas Card Challenge - Day 11

Good evening everyone.  I completed my Day 11 card for the month long challenge at Scrappin'-n-Chattin' to create a Christmas card every day in August.  Today's prompt was Embossing, either wet or dry.

To create my card I used the new sketch at Unscripted Sketches.  It worked perfectly for what I was thinking.

I used 3 of my embossing folders on this card.  I also used nothing but scraps (except for the card base).

I also followed a couple of other challenge.  The new challenge at Just Us Girls is to use ribbon scraps.  I have a jar with small, leftover pieces of ribbon.  I found the see through white ribbon with white dots on it in there.  I scrunched it up and placed it in the center of the card.

And the last challenge for this card is this week's challenge at Allsorts.  The challenge is to use circles.

Thanks for stopping by.  Check back tomorrow for Day 12.

At The Tree

My 4th blog post for the week. This may be a record.... And I have a page planned for tomorrow too.

Tonight I created a page with some more photos of David and Jackie's photo shoot in October. All of the photos are just so amazing, I have to use most of them. This is actually the Page 2 to go with the layout I have planned for tomorrow. This page is based on this month's sketch at the My Mind's Eye blog. I really love the sketch and all of the inspiration was awesome.

To join the challenge at My Mind's Eye, you must use at least 80% My Mind's Eye products. All of the papers are from the Complete Boy collection. I used some kraft cardstock as mats and a couple of the embellishments, and the buttons are from my stash.

I am also entering this page in a few other challenges:

1. Allsorts Challenge Blog - Circles
2. Make It Monday - Linky Party
3. 2 Sisters Challenge Blog - Punches and/or Dies - I have punched circle and 2 different border punches.
4. The Craft Garden - December Recipe - Choose 4
Kerry - turquoise - Paper and ribbon
Carly - Snowflakes
Melly - Kraft - Photo mats and top border punch
Tiffany- Office Supply
Kevin - Ribbon - Turquoise ribbon on top of border punch
Jay - Buttons 4 - red buttons
Cathy - charm
Helen - Purple
Kylie - Paint

I am really enjoying the stress reduction going on here by creating something each night. I know I won't be able to keep it up, but it feels good to be getting so much done. Thanks for looking.
